oh yeah, i didnt include the car for that express reason. that's how i got my hit and run achievement--steam friends was down for a good portion of the game, and so i missed a lot of achievements. i made up for that one ramming hunters though. then, i would get out and grab a log for the other one or 3. good stuff.
Ah, a man after my own heart. I estimate that I fired several hundred shotgun rounds and less than a hundred rounds from any other weapon throughout the course of Eps 1 and 2. I did use the grav gun extensively, however. But shotgun ftw, no matter what.
I only fired a single shot in hl2:ep1 in order to get the achievement. It was very sad. But it did teach me how to use the grav gun to the best effect, which is why i voted any hurlable object for hunters. Let them eat their own fire.

However, when I played HL and HL2 I refused to use anything BUT the shotgun.
Yes I had to cheat for ammo, but damn if it wasn't satisfying completing the games with only a shotgun.
Keep your eyes peeled for the average gamers.
Nothing's broken, it's just functioning differently.
